On the 23rd of February 2000, the Rotary Club and the Innerwheel Club of Nazareth honored singer Reem Banna and her husband Leonid for their success in promoting the oriental music in the country and the world.

The Nazareth Club joined all the clubs in Israel in donating generously to the Turkish people who suffered as a result of the severe disaster as a result of the strong earthquake that hit part of the country. Rotary International sent to all Governors Disaster Notices and as a result donations poured Turkey from all over the world.
