In the early days of 1989, President Selim traveled with secretary Walid Hamati to Assisi for a Twin signing with three other clubs.

Both the president and his secretary attended the Yearly District Convention in Assisi and signed a declaration calling on all Rotarians to be evermore convinced that instead of wars we should put our faith and ideals in human solidarity and in the goodwill toward our human fellowmen.
President Selim hosted Governor Aaron Asagury of Santiago de Compostela here in Nazareth.
President Selim visited Cairo Egypt several times and attended meetings in Cairo, Cairo Capital, Cairo Cosmopolitan, Cairo Zamalek and Cairo South, spoke few minutes in each club and always finished by inviting the members to visit Nazareth.
