On the 29th of July 1980, a group of Rotarians from Nazareth Club including the President Joseph Shomar, Joseph Tabar and Asad Ynis paid a visit to the Mayor of Nazareth Toufic Zayyad to present to him the activities and the projects of the Club. President Shomar explained to the Mayor about the main project of this year, Establishing a Department for Artificial Kidneys in the English Hospital. The Mayor welcomed the guests and promised to give his utmost backing morally and financially to such an important project.
