On Tuesday, the 18th of June 2019, Rotary Club of Nazareth held its yearly meeting for the change of Presidents from Mr. Azmi Elias to Mr. Nimer Nasser in the presence of DG Mati Hareel and PDG Former Judge Saleem Jubran and members of Rotary and Inner-Wheel Nazareth.

President Azmi Elias announced the beginning of his last – meeting by welcoming all Rotarian and guests. He reviewed all of the initiatives and projects conducted during his year of presidency thanking all those who had contributed in the success of the various projects.

Azmi Elias rang the bell announcing the end of his last meeting then called on the new President Mr. Nimer Nasser who in turn helped in the formalities of the change of Presidents.

In his turn the new president rang the bell announcing the start of the new Rotarian year, called his secretary, Dr. Awni Elias and treasurer Basheer Nussier, so as to start the first meeting of the new Rotarian year 2019/2020.

President Nasser previewed all of his plans for the upcoming Rotarian year. Stressing his commitment to continue what his fellow Rotary Club of Nazareth presidents have started 70 years ago.

President Nasser also spoke of his plans to Initiate educational and cultural projects mainly to contribute in fighting violence. Furthermore, he spoke of the need to collaborate with other social clubs in Nazareth thus acting in accordance with the Rotarian motto “ROTARY CONNECT THE WORLD”
President Mr. Nimer Nasser thanked Mr. Azmi Elias , Mr. Waleed Jarayse (former secretary) , Mr. Issam Rashed (former treasurer) as well as all of the various committees for their highly appreciated contribution during the Rotarian year 2018/2019.
