On the 15th of October 1969 the club meeting was held at the YMCA.
President Abboud announced that he received a letter from the USA telling him that a club there had sponsored and started collecting funds for building the YMCA swimming pool in Nazareth.
Another letter was received from one of the Clubs of Florida suggesting to the president giving a scholarship for a student from Nazareth for one year in one of the Universities of Florida, USA.
The condition for accepting the student was that he should know well the English language.
