On the 23rd of April 1996 The members met at the Grand New Hotel where the guest speaker of the evening was the Poet Michel Haddad.
Several friends of the Poet were invited to attend: Darweesh and Souad Karaman, Naji Eldaher, Poet Jamal Kawar, Dr. Mahmoud Ghanaim, Dr. Nabile Haddad and Atallah Jabr.
PP. Yusef Srouji talked about the founding of the club and its first years because Poet Michel Haddad was one of the Charter Members but his duties could not permit him to retain his membership in the club.
Michel read several of his poems and Dr. Mahmoud Ghanaim spoke about the poems of Michel.
Dr. Halim Azzam thanked the Poet Michel and wished him good health and more writing.
