On Wednesday the 29th of January 1997 a Ramadan “Iftar” was celebrated by the members of the club and their wives and some guests from the Tivon Club. The evening took a traditional folklore type with members sitting on mattresses with the Arabic Robes and smoking narjilas.
A folklore poet and singer Mohamed Khalilieh sang while playing on the Rababa (oriental flute) sang traditional Ramadan songs while Salalm Amneh sang from the words of the late poet and Mayor Toufic Zayyad with the accompaniment of Eyad Assadi on the `oud. The evening was a social success and of course enjoyed by all.
