On the 30th of December 1957, the club celebrated its 5th Anniversary. Members, their wives, our traditional friends from Haifa Club and many friends from the town attended the celebrations.

This year the club started a special tradition in which a citizen from Nazareth would be chosen as The Man of the Year, because of many years of service and sacrifice to his town.

This year 1957/58 a teacher, Mr. Costandi Kanzae` who had spent more than fifty years of his life teaching and bringing up thousands of students in the schools of Nazareth, was honored as Man of the Year in Nazareth. Past District Advisor Lionel Watson gave the greetings of the District for the occasion.
