On Saturday evening the 17th of December 2016 the Rotary Club of Nazareth held it traditional yearly Christmas and New Year at the Renaissance Abu Maher Hall in the presence of the Governor of Rotary Israel, Gabi Oren and his wife together with 430 from the Rotary members of Nazareth and Nazareth Illit, their wives and friends.

The party started with some Christmas music played and sung by members of the Mandarine Band that accompanied the guests till some time after midnight.
During the entrance of the guests to the Hall members of the club welcomed each couple handing them the traditional yearly present of the Nazareth Rotary Diary of 2017 while the ladies received each a token present from Mrs. Ikbal Rizek
Immediate Past President of the club Dr. Awni Elias opened the evening welcoming all the guests wishing them Happy Holiday Season, Christmas and the New Year, Birth of Prophet Mohamad and Hannuka that happen to fall in the same month, then wishing all those present to have a happy and joyful evening.
President Bashir Bishara in his turn welcomed all the guests then gave few words about the giving activities of the Rotary Club of Nazaeth during the last years.

Governor Gabi Oren gave a short welcome to all, wishing them Happy Holiday Season after which the Mandarine Band started its program of Christmas Music followed by a Show and Dance Music that lasted till sometimes after midnight.

During the evening there was a lottery draw on the numbers of the entrance tickets, then Father Christmas (actually the beautiful lady members of the Band) entered with sacks of presents to the guests after which a rich Christmas Dinner was served followed by the final lottery draw.
At the end of the party President Bashir thanked all the Rotary and Inner wheel members, their guests and friends for the success of the party mentioning again that the proceeds of this party goes to various projects sponsored by the club to the benefit of Nazareth Institutions.
