On Tuesday the 24th. of January 2017 Governor of Rotary Israel paid his official visit to the club of Nazareth to meet the members and directors of the club, review their activities and visit the projects that were sponsored by them to the benefit of the various institutions in the city.
Gov. Gabi accompanied with President of the club, Bashir Bishara and several member of his Directing Committee and members of the club, visited Mayor Ali Sallam in his office where they were very well received .
Mayor Sallam praised Rotary Aims in general and highly appreciated
the club for the services it was giving to the various medical, educational and humanitarian institutions in town during the last 65 years. At the end of the visit presents were exchanged between the Mayor and his guests.

Governor Gabi next visit was to the Rotary Garden near the Cultural Center followed by a visit to the Innerwheel Buds Center at the French Hospital where they were met by President of the Innerwheel club Mrs. Sylvia Saba and some of her committee members. Then proceeded to meet with Director of the French Hospital Sister Dorita, the Medical Director Dr. Nael Elias and Mr. Hanna Eilouti.
Dr. Elias gave a short report about the activities of the hospital and the various medical services they offer to the people of the area, also thanked Rotary Nazareth for the donations they have been giving to the hospital during the past years. Dr. Nael then invited all present to visit the new Operating Room that was equipped with new medical items supplied through the donation of $78,000 from the Rotary Club of Nazareth.

President Bashir together with the chairmen of his committees met with Governor Gabi, where reports about activities and projects of the club were discussed with promises to continue with their projects and services to the benefit of the people in town.
An official gala dinner was held with governor Gabi, his wife, secretary Ben Gad and his wife and members and their wives, took place in the evening where President Bashir gave a report about the club activities and projects and at the end honored 8 past presidents and members who had served 20 years and more and finally donating the sum of 23000 shekels to the Innerwheel Buds Center at the French Hospital.
