In 1956/57 Mr. Jeries Khoury was the president of the club.
During this year the young members of the club in the Christmas party committee suggested to the president to include in the party some western dance music. The president vehemently refused and said that we Rotarians in Nazareth – dance without a tambourine – intending to say that people here think that we only meet, eat and do nothing – so better skip the idea now !!

During the year President Khoury and several members of the club attended the Charter Meeting of the club of Rishon Le Zion (Chartered 6/3/57).
