On the 7th of October 1963 a One Day Institute for all Rotarians of the District was held in Nazareth for the first time. About 150 members from the District attended the meeting.
Four important events took place that day:
A speech by Past District Governor Wolf Cegla who had just been elected as Director in Rotary International (the first Israeli Rotarian to reach such a high position in R.I).
The second event was the special luncheon that was arranged by R/Mazzawi and his wife Abla who was elected as the Queen of the Israeli Kitchen that Year.
The third event was the appointment of PP. Sami Jeraysi as an Assistant Governor for the clubs of Nazareth, Affula and Tivon.
The fourth event was the decision taken to include Arabic as an official language in the District.
