On Friday the 8th Of May, Rotary International Director Gidi Piper visited Nazareth with Rotarian guests from the club of Napoli East, PP Calogero Bellia and his wife together with Dr. Giorgio Botta from the club of Locri, both members from District 2100 in Italy.
The guests were met by PDG Yusef Srouji and the President of the Club of Nazareth Albert Zaher and Secretary Bashir Nusair.
The Italian guests were interested in visiting Italian Institutions that had been helped by the Rotary Club of Nazarerh, so they taken to the Holy Family Hospital where they were met by the Public Relations Officer Mrs. Odette Shomar and Mother Elia Superior of the hospital Sisters together with Sister Maria Teresa head of the Out Patient Clinic.
Dr. Elias Ishac gave them a short history of the hospital and Mrs. Shomar explained about the various departments that were in bad need for development and about the help that Rotary Club of Nazareth had been giving to support the Oncology and Intensive Care Dept. of the hospital.

The guests declared that they were in favor of joining in a twin club agreement with the club of Nazareth, which will enable them to discuss and offer some necessary help through the Global Grant of Rotary International.
The guests visited the Intensive Care Unit and saw the expensive items that were recently purchase for the Oncology Dept. through the help of a Matching Grant between Nazareth and several Italian clubs from Milano to Casalmaggiore.
Before leaving, the guests exchange flags with President Zaher who also gave each a book about the Holy Land.
PDG Srouji gave each an envelope with the Millennium Souvenir Card of the Rotary Club of Nazareth. The guests and the Rotarians of Nazareth were expecting that relations between the clubs of Southern Italy and Nazareth will be strengthened and will yield benefits to the Holy Family Hospital of Nazareth.
